Performance Task Research Study

Are you interested in shaping the future of science performance assessment? Join our ATLAS Research Study this spring.

Digital Promise, supported by the Learning Policy Institute, is looking for K–12 science educators to participate in a study of performance tasks and the ATLAS performance task bank. This is an opportunity to advocate for your classroom’s needs and directly influence the development of tools for science teachers.

  • Participants: Teachers who facilitate science or STEM enrichment to students in K-12 classrooms.
  • Study Activities: Use two performance tasks from the ATLAS platform in your classroom that align with your current curriculum. Share experiences and reflections in surveys and logs. Request to share more detailed needs in a focus group.
  • Commitment: 6–8 total hours (March–June 2026)
  • Compensation: $400 (plus $125 for for optional focus groups)

Digital Promise will begin reviewing applications and reaching out to potential participants on a rolling basis in mid-March.
